The app & website

A little clarity
about privacy.

What stays with you, what helps the app work, and the choices you have.

Privacy policy · Updated 24 October 2026

Sow-Sow, the paper cat, resting with a paw over the edge.

Your sessions. Saved on your device. Apple Health is your choice.

App usage. Limited analytics through TelemetryDeck, with an off switch.

Your inbox. Beta invitations and occasional updates only when you sign up.

1. Who looks after your information

Relaxation Station is operated by Luke Cassady-Dorion (“we”, “us” or “our”). This policy covers the Relaxation Station iPhone and iPad app, relaxation-station.xyz, and the shared services used for its beta invitations and email updates.

For privacy questions, support, unsubscribe requests or deletion requests, write to luke@spstories.com. We do not sell or rent your personal information or use it to build third-party advertising profiles.

2. Your sessions stay on your device

The app saves your session history and preferences on your device. This includes the story you chose, session timing and outcome, audio preferences, reminder choices and the beginning of your complimentary access period. You do not need to create a Relaxation Station account.

Session-history sync through iCloud is not available in the current version. Apple’s device backups may include app data, depending on your settings. We do not upload your complete session history to the website’s shared mailing-list database.

You can delete session history in Settings → Data & help. This keeps your preferences and any sessions already saved in Apple Health. Deleting local history does not erase purchase records or analytics already received by a provider.

3. Health, app blocking and reminders

Apple Health is optional and off by default. If you enable it and grant permission, the app writes completed mindful sessions, including their start and end times, to Apple Health. It does not request access to read your Health records. Health data is not sent to TelemetryDeck, RevenueCat or our mailing-list service, or used for advertising.

Where app blocking is available and you authorize it, Apple’s Screen Time services supply app-selection tokens used on your device to apply your choices. We do not send those tokens to our analytics or mailing-list services. You can change permissions in Apple’s settings.

Optional return reminders are scheduled locally with your notification permission. Lock Screen countdowns use Apple’s Live Activities. These features do not send your session history to our website. Turning off Health access does not remove existing Health entries; manage those in Apple Health.

4. Understanding how the app is used

We use TelemetryDeck to understand app visits, story choices and playing time. Usage analytics is on by default and begins on normal app launch. You can turn it off during onboarding or in Settings → Data & help → Share anonymous usage data.

Events include app opens, story selections, session starts and outcomes, planned and elapsed duration, app version and build, platform and test or production environment. They also include a hash of a randomly generated installation identifier and a random analytics visit identifier. These help distinguish visits without using your name or email.

We do not send advertising identifiers, Apple Health information, blocked-app selections, your local session-record identifiers or the contents of support messages to TelemetryDeck. TelemetryDeck states that it anonymizes analytics and does not store IP addresses.

Turning sharing off stops new collection, discards unsent events and removes the app’s local analytics identifier. Turning it back on creates a new identifier. Previously delivered events are not recalled by that switch, and we may not be able to associate anonymized events with you. TelemetryDeck does not currently publish a fixed automatic deletion schedule for those events.

5. Purchases and Pro access

Apple handles App Store payments. RevenueCat verifies and restores purchases, maintains subscription or lifetime-access status, delivers purchase screens and helps us understand and improve offers.

RevenueCat receives an app-generated customer identifier, store transaction and purchase information, and technical information such as app and operating-system versions. Paywall interactions and experiment assignments may also be processed when those features are used. These identifiers can recognize an installation or purchase; they are not your mailing-list email address.

We do not send Health records or your complete session history to RevenueCat, and we do not receive your payment-card details from Apple. Complimentary access does not automatically start a paid subscription. Purchases require your confirmation through Apple. Manage renewals in Apple’s subscription settings; deleting the app or its history does not cancel a subscription.

6. Website signups and occasional emails

If you join the beta, we collect your first name, email address, consent choice and a record of the signup wording and history. We use them to coordinate TestFlight invitations and, when you opt in, send occasional updates about Relaxation Station and other apps by Luke Cassady-Dorion.

Signups are handled through our shared service at sow.garden and stored in the same private database used for our other apps’ website submissions. We keep the relevant app-list membership and shared creator-updates membership. Sharing infrastructure does not copy your private Relaxation Station session history into that database.

You can unsubscribe through an email’s unsubscribe option or by writing to luke@spstories.com. We keep a limited record of an unsubscribe choice so we can honor it. Closing the beta signup form does not automatically delete existing subscriptions; opted-in subscribers may continue receiving occasional updates until they unsubscribe.

If you contact us, we receive the message and any information or attachments you choose to include. Send only what is needed for the request. TestFlight feedback and diagnostics you share through Apple are also subject to Apple’s privacy practices.

7. Providers, hosting and international processing

Apple provides device services, Health, TestFlight and App Store purchases. TelemetryDeck provides app usage analytics. RevenueCat provides purchase and paywall services. Vercel hosts the website and shared API, Supabase stores website signup records, and Resend supports service and contact email.

The shared website database is hosted in the United States (North Virginia). Providers may process information in other countries where they operate. Hosting and network services may receive technical details such as IP addresses, browser information, request times and errors to deliver and protect the service.

This website does not currently load Google Analytics or advertising trackers. That differs from sow.garden, which has its own optional website analytics. Following a link to another site brings you under that site’s practices.

We use providers to perform the functions described here, with access limited to what those functions require. Where applicable, international transfers are subject to our providers’ data-processing terms and transfer safeguards. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.

Provider information: Apple, TelemetryDeck, RevenueCat, Vercel, Supabase and Resend.

8. Why we process data and how long we keep it

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on consent for email updates and optional permissions; providing the service you request for purchases and beta administration; and legitimate interests in responding to support, understanding limited app usage and keeping the service reliable and secure. Legal obligations may require some records to be retained. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing relies on it.

Local session records remain until you delete them. We keep mailing-list details while you remain subscribed, along with consent and suppression records needed to respect your choices. Support, beta and technical records are kept while reasonably needed to handle the request, operate and protect the service, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. There is no fixed automatic deletion schedule for all website submissions.

Apple, RevenueCat and other providers may retain transaction or technical records separately under their applicable terms and obligations. Removing local data does not guarantee immediate deletion from provider systems or backups. We use encrypted connections and access controls, but no system can promise absolute security.

9. Your choices and privacy requests

You can disable usage analytics, change device permissions, delete local session history, unsubscribe from emails and contact us about records we hold. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, obtain a copy of, delete, restrict or object to processing of personal information, withdraw consent, and complain to a data-protection authority.

Email luke@spstories.com with enough detail to locate the relevant signup, support request or purchase record. We may need to verify your request; never send your Apple password or payment-card details. If we must retain information for legal or security reasons, we will explain why. We do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through our website, contact us so we can review and address it. We may update this policy as the app and website change, showing the revised date here and providing additional notice where required.
